PC & MAC Upgrade

If you are no longer satisfied with your current PC there are basically two options:

1. Buy a new PC, MAC or Laptop

2. Upgrade your current computer

In general I would recommend only minor upgrades for PC’s as it’s often not economical to have a major upgrade done.

Upgrades that can be easily and economically done are:

- Add a CD burner, DVD burner or hard disk
- Add a new screen
- Add a network card or modem, wired or wireless
- Change your keyboard and mouse
- Add extra internal memory

Even buying a new printer, scanner or digital camera can become a problem with an older PC, the manufacturers do not always supply the printer or scanner with the driver and software for Windows 98 or Windows 95 and the USB port to connect your printer s are not standard fitted and activated on older systems.

The main advantage of a new PC is that you will get all new components for your PC with usually at least a year’s warranty including the latest version of Windows. All new printers and scanner can be connected but unfortunately not all older printers and scanners will work properly.

Before making any recommendation we would like to discuss your needs and will have a look at your current system and give you an advice whether or not an upgrade is economical or not. We do not supply new computers or components but will help you find a good deal and do the actual upgrade of your current computer for you or do an installation of a new system for you including transferring your the files, address book and email of your old system to your new system.

Buying a new PC, MAC or Laptop

This can be a daunting task as there is so much jargon that it’s easy to get confused. After quick visit to discuss your needs and options we will advice you what options to look for and where to buy your new system. As we have been using PC’s and laptops for many years our advice is based on real needs and not the latest features that are available at a cost but which you might never need.
