PC & MAC Wireless Networking

Wireless networking is becoming the new standard for home and small business networks. The speed, reliability and security of these networks are nearly identical with wired network.

If you have more than one computer in your house or use a laptop in different locations a wireless network is a very good and economical alternative to a wired network and saves you the hassle of running network cables through your house.

The problem with wireless networks is the distance they can cover, this varies from house to house and the manufacturers obviously only state the distance under the most favourable circumstances.

Wireless Router

Your reception is influenced by what sort of wall and floors you have in our house, the distance between the router and the PC’s any other devices transmitting on the same frequency band (cordless digital phones, wireless mouse and keyboard etc.) and if there are any other wireless networks in the area.

Art and IT can provide you with a quick survey and see if a good connection can be achieved in your home or office. After the survey we will recommend the equipment and offer a complete secure installation of your wireless network.
